Safety committee in Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital in Dammam - Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs organized the Safety Week activities.
In this regards, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs in the Eastern Region stated that" these events which took place after a well prepared organizing, came to complement the celebration programs of this important occasion in the eastern region which are based on patient, employee and hospital’s safety in addition to focusing on raising awareness levels of the security and safety ways in our daily lives, targeting staff members, their families, visitors, and society in general".
He also added, "it is our duty toward our work and those we serve to apply security and safety measures at the highest levels and at all levels, thus we hold such events to achieve this goal, as well the great interaction that we have noticed from the hospital’s departments and sections, highlights the importance of celebrating this event periodically and intensely."
Moreover, many departments and sections participated in holding an awareness exhibition which included presenting safety signs in general and traffic signs in particular, in addition to distributing educational brochures to raise awareness levels of safety among employees, patients and hospital’s visitors".
In addition, Dr. Al Arfaj said that “MNG-HA takes over the bulk of its interest in the deployment of safety culture, which has been impacted greatly on the performance of its hospitals’ employees, making them distinct in the application of safety regulations" adding that " we hold such activities every year and find a great interaction from the target groups who are staff members, patients, visitors and the community members in general, and we aspire to achieve the desired goals of it".
It is worth to mention that these events targeted educating school students on safety measures and methods of how to deal with the daily dangers, and were attended by a large number of school students which has a great impact on educating this important segment of society.
Last but not least, DERD of Medical Services Dr. Ahmed Al Shuaibi and DERD of Operation Dr. Ibrahim Al Shuaibi in Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital in Dammam launched the exhibition which included several corners prepared by the hospitals’ departments and sections concerned on safety.
