National Guard Health Affairs in collaboration with Sanad Children's Cancer Support Association has conducted International Childhood Cancer Day that targeted children with cancer and their families. The event was organized by the Department of Social Services and held in Dr. Samir bin Huraib Auditorium at King Abdulaziz Medical City – Riyadh.
The event included an entertainment program for the children and gift distribution along with a number of awareness stands to address all families’ concerns and inquiries.
NGHA consistently organizes such events to support both the cancer preventive awareness and cancer patients, where these events can easily facilitate the early stages of treatment by providing moral support the child. They are also considered as an opportunity to develop and explain optimal ways on how to deal with this disease through messages provided by the Department of Social Services in cooperation with Sanad Children's Cancer Support Association.
