Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, Honorary president of Saudi association for health informatics, The Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs & KSAU-HS in collaboration with Saudi Health Informatics Association (SAHI), KSAU-HS is proud to announce the upcoming 6th Saudi E-Healt Conference on 21-23 February 2017 at the KSAU-HS Convention Center, Riyadh. A group of specialist from multi-disciplinary academic fields in Health informatics will participate in the conference.
This scientific conference is a chance to the specialist and who have interests in participating and exchanging of research and results, encouraging discussion about presenting health care ad effective support. It also aims to spread e-health culture and benefit from the recent discovered renewed information and communication technologies, in addition to find mutual understanding for various electronic challenges including the methods and the technologies of the advanced electronic technology and cloud computing.
Dr. Riyadh Alshammari, Chairmen of the Association, Head of the Scientific Conference, pointed out that this scientific conference represent a unique platform that includes two important conferences:
The 6th Saudi E-Health Conference
The International Conference on Informatics, Health & Technology (ICIHT)
He also said that the conference present academics and stuff from deferent fields the chance to exchange research ideas and results, and encourage discussion about how to provide efficient and effective support for patient and population healthcare using the continuous advancements of the information and communication technologies (ICT) in addition to having a common understanding for the various research challenges in this multi-disciplinary field. He pointed out that this conference targets health care providers, health informatics specialist and information security specialist.
He added: “ the activities of the conference includes three workshops that will be held before the conference on the 19th – 20th of February, 2017. The workshop will discuss three topics which is: the International classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (10th Edition), The Writing System for Scientists and Health Specialists, Healthcare Innovation Training Workshop. During the conference, The participants will discuss several topics that includes:
Create a nationally leading scientific forum to present best practices on health informatics domain.
Identify the ongoing and evolving challenges facing specialists on health informatics with best solutions.
Promote creative collaborations and partnerships between local and regional health informatics with
international scholars and organizations.
Promote creative collaborations and partnerships between KSAU-HS scholars and international scholars and organizations.
Moreover, the organizing committee will publish all the accepted papers and the best papers will be published in Springer Magazine which is specialized in presenting huge data and systems based on knowledge. In addition, the organizing committee prepared a gift for the best paper in the conference and another gift for the best paper presented by student.
