National Guard Health Affairs is hosting the Saudi Physical Therapy Conference next Monday 14th May, 2012 for 3 days in Riyadh - Marriott Hotel.
International, regional and local speakers and faculty from various hospitals in the Kingdom will participate in the conference. The conference will focus on several topics, most notably: Recent orthopedic physical therapy intervention, neurological rehabilitation techniques and technology, advances in pediatric treatment approaches in chronic disorders, recent assistive technology in rehabilitation and new developments in hand injury management
This conference will be accompanied by three workshops dealing with several aspects such as a neuro restorative approach to rehabilitation in children's with cerebral palsy, the global approach of manual osteopath and the management of wrist and elbow disorders.
The conference will also include an exhibition featuring several local and international companies presenting the latest technology in this field as well as promoting the services provided by the Rehabilitation Services Department represented in physical and occupational rehabilitation in King Abdulaziz Medical City and the National & Gulf Center for Evidence Based Health Practice (NGCEBHP).
Physical therapy is a vital discipline which has witnessed a great development so rapidly in the Kingdom and the world, and recent polls have shown that more than one hundred research studies in this field are published monthly in all parts of the world.
