A group of students from the College of Medicine as well as doctors from the Department of Surgery in King Abdulaziz Medical City participated in the annual scientific research conference organized by the department on April 27, 2009 in Sameer bin Huraib Auditorium.
The conference included an open discussion about submitted research and also introduced new research. The participants had the opportunity to exchange information and experiences on the latest scientific developments in this area.
Dr. Nawaf Al-Otaibi, a resident doctor presented a paper entitled: "The Incidents of Alcohol Intoxication Among Trauma Patients, In a Level 1 Saudi Trauma Center". He told KSAU-HS magazine (Nabdh al Jamiah): This conference focuses on developing good research skills in the doctors. These skills will help them find the answers to questions they might have about their patients which will consequently help them to improve the standard of health care and export their expertise to the international medical community.
