The Social Services Department in the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs organized an Organ Transplant Awareness Day in collaboration with the Hepatobiliary Sciences and Liver Transplant on Wednesday, January 25th, 2017 which will be held for 2 days in King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital.
This awareness campaign aims to provide health, psychological, and social services to all patients and their dependents, as well as raise the awareness levels of preventive measures against hepatobiliary diseases with the participation of several departments such as Physiotherapy, Clinical Nutrition, liver and kidney transplant coordinators and Nursing Services.
On the side of this awareness campaign, a medical exhibition will be held that will showcase several educational corners in addition to charitable associations.
Last but not least, the event will welcome some liver diseases survivors to share their experiences with such diseases in regards to future liver transplant or organ donations, in an effort to encourage such noble act.
