The 11th Summer Research School, organized by King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) in collaboration with King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (Jeddah), was launched on Sunday, June 23, 2019, and will be held until Thursday 1st August 2019. The school will hold introductory and qualifying courses for clinical research such as:
Research methods of medical research through research implementation.
Statistical analysis simplified through using statistical softwares for statistics.
Interpreting the results of studies and understanding their effects.
Dr. Taghreed Al-Dosari, Consultant of Oral Biology, Head of Summer Research School at King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, said that this summer research school will last for 6 weeks, including methods and techniques for conducting medical research, studying issues and providing medical research.
She also noted that this summer school also aims at establishing the values of research as well as the principles and methodologies of biomedical medicine, and targets participants of medical students from dentists, nurses and assistant doctors.
Students will be trained in the most appropriate and effective ways to conduct clinical research, as well as training courses on the basic steps of research, how to write a research proposal, formulate research issues, design research, indexes and scientific quotations, and then apply research by analyzing data, extracting final results and scientific and applied guidelines for the dissemination of research.
This scientific activity is adopted by King Abdullah International Center for Medical Research, where it provides support and guidance through doctors and medical research experts to medical science students to enable them to conduct medical research at the end of the semester.
