Social Services and Health Education departments at King Abdulaziz Hospital - Al Ahsa organized the Universal Children’s Day activities under the theme of "Children's Rights". The Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs (MNG-HA) in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj said:” This event is complementary to a series of activities that are concerned with children’s rights and safety as well it aimed at mothers accompanying their inpatient children in order to raise awareness on children's rights".
He also added:” MNG-HA is keen to raise the community’s awareness level as we always participate in celebrating the local and international events from our perspective duty towards society, specifically our patients, employees and their families”.
Moreover, the event included awareness lectures, competitions and prizes for the inpatient children and their accompanying mothers presented by Social Worker, Ms. Jihan Al-Saqr, and the Health Education Specialist, Ms. Sajida Al-Loimi as well the Nursing Department in the hospital participated in this event.
Last but not least, the activities which are under the theme of "Together for Safe Childhood" focused on the need of children’s safety from the risk of falling, car hazards, isolation, the need to take preventive vaccinations, as well as discussing ways of diseases transmission and preventive measures.
