HRH Prince Mitib bin Abdullah, Deputy Commander National Guard for Executive Affairs will sponsor "The 5th Annual Meeting of GCC Centre for IC & 5th SHEA Training Course for Infection Control" hosted by the National Guard Health Affairs from 17th - 21st October 2010 at Riyadh Marriott Hotel in collaboration with the Infection Prevention and Control Program.
The meeting will address relevant topics to the infectious disease and infection control community. Highlights of the meeting include topics on emerging antimicrobial resistance from the global and regional perspective. It will also speak to important infections acquired in the healthcare environment and some of the most important emerging fevers in the Arabian Peninsula.
Moreover, International and local experts will provide interactive sessions on infection control precautions; devise related infections, surveillance and the accreditation process. Attendees will also hear from the experts on relevant topics such as waste management, monitoring construction in the healthcare setting and occupational health issues.
The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) accredits the symposium with 19 CME hours and 22 CME hours for the course.
