Under the patronage of the Executive Director of Operations, PMBAH Dr. Mansour Al-Othman and the Deputy Executive Director of Operations, PMBAH Mr. Mansour Al Askar, PMBAH represented by Environmental Services Department celebrated the “Tree Planting Week” on Monday, March 2nd 2015, through a wide range of activates spread throughout the week targeting inpatient, visitors and all PMBAH’s staff. Mr. Yahya Al Tomaihy, Director of Environmental Services Department explained that Environmental Services Department was keen to diversify the celebrations’ activities in order to include all targeted groups.
Furthermore, Mr. Al Tomaihy pointed out that the quality of the selected activities is designed to raise awareness of the importance of the tree, reminding all that the tree has a great importance in our daily lives since the tree is a source of food, clothing and shade in addition to that Islam urged people to plant the Earth with fruitful trees.
The celebrating activities of the Tree Planting Week has started by distributing awareness brochures introducing the Tree Planting Week wrapped with flowers to all hospital’s staff followed by the participation of the Executive Director and the Deputy Executive Director of Operations PMBAH in celebration of the Tree Planting Week where they planted a tree inside the hospital campus. Though, the Environmental Services Department and in collaboration with Public Relations & Media Affairs Department flowers and gifts were distributed to the patients on Tuesday March 3rd. Furthermore, on Wednesday March 4th Environmental Services Department arranged an entertaining and awareness ceremony for children in the Employee Social Club.
