The National Guard Health Affairs represented by ENT department in King Abdulaziz Medical City organized a World Voice Day event about vocal diseases and abnormalities on Wednesday 15, 2009. The awareness exhibition was held on the 1st floor of the main building of the ambulatory services in the NGHA-Riyadh from 09:00 a.m. until 04:40 p.m.
The exhibition included a number of stands where specialist gave presentations on vocal problems, prevention procedures and treatment methods. A number of flyers about this disease were given to the guests with the participation of a specialized team during the exhibit hours who answered questions. The exhibit also presented a video on how to examine the throat. It also covered many events such as free throat examination for a limited number of visitors by the use of special equipments.
The invitations were for the general public especially for those who generally use their voices in their profession, such as: teachers, mosque imams, secretaries, phone operators and others who are at a greater risk for vocal diseases and abnormalities.
