Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal Hospital - Dammam in collaboration with several sections conducted an awareness exhibition on the occasion of World Diabetes Day.
Dr. Ahmed Arfaj, Regional Executive Director of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, Eastern Region, pointed out that these activities are directed to educate the public about this disease which has spread dramatically in the recent years, and the aim of this exhibition is to raise awareness among healthcare providers of the importance of diabetes and its complications.
The exhibition’s slogan was: "Let’s protect our future from Diabetes". The exhibition was accompanied by screening and detection of diabetes, more than 10 new cases were discovered and referred to the diabetes clinic.
