The Infection Prevention and Control Department at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital in Al Madinah (PMBAH) has hold World Hepatitis Day 2018. Several departments has participated in organizing this event’s activities, some of which are Clinical Nutrition, Pharmacy Care Services, Family Medicine, Primary Health Care Center.
World Hepatitis Day aims to aware and educate the society about the disease, ways it spread through, types of treatment and preventive measures. This day activities has been located at the entrance hall of the outpatient clinic. It included an awareness exhibition with educational corners targeted patients, attendants, visitors and all employees in the hospital. During the expiation, publications and educational pamphlets on hepatitis were provided and all visitors' queries were answered. A video on hepatitis was also shown.
The exhibition was attended by a large number of visitors, led by Manager of Patient Services at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital, Mr. Muayad Elias and Manager of Infection Control Department Dr. Sayed Nazir.
