The Ambulatory Care Service at KASCH
The Ambulatory Care Service at KASCH provides tertiary out-patient care services to eligible patients in compliance with Strategic Plans and approved policies and procedures.
The out-patient care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams of specialists and support workers dedicating their efforts and experience to provide quality out-patient care such as Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgery, Adult and Pediatric Hematology /Oncology/Transplant, Pediatric Neonatology, Diabetic Retina Clinics, Adult Diabetic & Endocrine Clinics Employee Health Clinic, Adult Organ Transplant & Adult Hepatology and Podiatric Surgery Clinic.

Ambulatory Care Services Achievements and Awards
- Most of the Departments in KASCH have had their clinic structures changed. First Visit and Follow-up have been moved around based on how many patients are in each section's clinic.
- Redesigning the clinic helps make better use of clinic slots and see more new patients within 4 weeks of the date they were referred.
- Most medical specialties at KASCH have a virtual clinic, which helps patients avoid going to the hospital more than they need to and makes better use of clinic slots.
- With the help of the BESTCare Enhancement Committee, opening the booking system to 6 months means that patients are more likely to have confirmed appointments when they go to the clinic.
- Outpatient Clinic Waiting List Report for KASCH
- The goal of clearing the ACC-KASCH waiting list by 2020 means that all patients got the appointments they needed (there were no people on the waiting list), according to a report that will be released in November 2020. By May 2021, almost 96% of people on the waiting list will have gotten the appointment they asked for, and the other 4% will get the appointment they asked for through the new clinic and slots.

- Our most recent report shows that 71% of all accepted new referrals to KASCH medical specialties were seen within 4 weeks of the date of the referral. 98% of the referrals that were accepted had their appointments confirmed. 57% of all new referrals that were accepted were given a fixed date appointment within 4 weeks of the date they were accepted.
