MNGHA operates an advanced transfusion medicine system across all of its medical cities and hospitals, which includes seven blood donation centers situated at MNGHA medical cities and hospitals in various regions of the Kingdom. These centers deliver blood donation services within a comprehensive quality framework that mandates strict compliance with international standards. The system has earned prestigious international accreditations from the Association for the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and Joint Commission International (JCI), as well as the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI). It is also the sole organization beyond the United States to have earned CAP ISO 15189 accreditation. At present, it is in the final stages of securing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) accreditation, a milestone that would position it as the first blood bank in the Kingdom to achieve this recognition, thereby backing the national plasma initiative aimed at manufacturing life-saving medicines derived from plasma.
